Introducing: “The Maxperience”
Welcome to The Maxperience!
The so-called “research” for this name consisted of countless hours of searching for “Max” puns, alliteration and double entendres. Well… sort of (see the names that didn’t make it below).
The Maxperience philosophy:
The | Max | Experience.
Max is my name. I’ll be honest, I kind of love it. Three letters, closing with a big “X”. “X” marks the spot. Also, in all CAPS, “MAX” can be written with toothpicks. I suspect I’l discover the significance of that later. Most of all, I like it because it’s short.
The word “max” has other meanings as well. It’s short for “maximum”, so you might say the mission of this blog is to have the greatest experience possible. Less scholarly sources than the dictionary have more “creative” definitions of the word.
All-in-all, I want you to know that I’m not as pompous in person, as I’m sure I sound right now. The Maxperience is also about establishing who I am online, beyond the photograph on the “About” section, and my Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages. For those who don’t know me, I’m a photojournalism student at Syracuse University. I’m originally from Falmouth, Massachusetts and I want to work across the world after graduating. I love visuals so I’ll be dedicating a lot of this blog to photography, graphics, and other artistic mediums. I also love music, so check out my music page as well.
I love storytelling, or the “experience”. We all have stories to tell about experiences we’ve had. Visual storytelling brings you closer to experiencing something. We grow from our experiences and I think we can grow from others’s experiences as well. This blog is about my experiences; The Maxperience.
Here are some other blog titles I was thinking about. If you think of a particularly better title put it into the comments:
VitaMin Max
The Min.istry of Max

New Semester, New Blog, New Post
Hey readers,
I’m back from Egypt and it’s time I made a permanent home for this stuff. I’m discontinuing my travel blog but if you still want to check it out, click here
By the way, Happy Labor day! Apparently we don’t have school… I’ll be working all day anyway. Organizing and editing photos has taken over my life; at least for today. I’ll do my best to post said photos somewhere as they are ready.
